White Pines Golf Dome Flying Rules

Registration and fee payment is required each night, prior the pilot's
first flight. Season Pass holders must register each night.

Current AMA card, or paid receipt, required IN HAND, at
registration.

AMA rules apply unless otherwise specified.

Call out "Taking off", "Landing", and "On the Field" to warn other
pilots of your intentions.

Flying will begin at the whistle or other signal from the Dome
Director.

Normal flying begins at 11:00 PM, and ceases at 1:00 AM unless
otherwise specified.

Spectators are free. Spectators who fly any models in the Dome
become pilots, and are required to register and pay the flying fee.

Buddy Box and Student pilots require permission from the Dome
Director.

Frequency clip is required on every transmitter except 2.4 Ghz,
before the transmitter is turned on.

No smoking, alcohol, or controlled substances allowed in the Dome.

Electric powered aircraft and helicopters only. No ground
vehicles permitted. (Cars, trucks etc., R/C or otherwise)

The Flight Line is defined by the edge of the shadow of the Upper Level
Structure, and the projection of that shadow in the area beyond the upper
level.

All aircraft, fixed and rotary wing, must fly beyond the flight line only.

Flight pattern for fixed wing aircraft is counter clockwise in a
'donut' beyond the flight line.

3D aerobatics and hovering of fixed wing models is limited to the left
and right 'corner' of the flying area outside of the flight pattern 'donut' at
a minimum distance of 10 feet from the pilot. 3D is also permitted inside the
center of the flight pattern 'donut'.

Fixed wing aircraft limits: two (2) pound weight limit, 150
watt power limit. Reasonable and prudent depending on conditions and
traffic, at the discretion of the Dome Director. Other weights and power
require the approval of the Dome Director.

Combat, racing, or any special or unusual flight maneuvers must first
be cleared by the Dome Director.

Helicopter hovering and other flight aerobatics are limited to the
left and right "corners" of the flying area. Helicopters are permitted
to fly the entire Dome when "Helicopter Only" sessions are called.

Helicopter limits: Micro and mini helis only. Maximum size: 450.
Maximum rotor diameter: 27.6 in (700 mm). No carbon fiber nor
fiberglass rotor blades.

Be aware of individuals retrieving downed models, and stay clear of them. When
retrieving a model, watch for craft flying near you, and be ready to take
evasive action.

No one is permitted on the flying field during flying operations,
except for the minimum time required for model retrieval.

The Dome Director will make the final decision in all cases not covered by the
rules.
